Top 10 Time Savers For Moms

These tips help moms to save hours in a day.

  1. Separate Clothes By Family Member

This may seem obvious, but im not talking about whites and colors. I do a load of just my clothes, a load of just my husbands, and load for each of my little boys. I find it saves me a lot of time when it comes to putting them away. Instead of doing a load of every ones jeans, putting them in a basket, separating them and then running to four different closets to put them away. I can take all of my oldest sons clothes wash them put them on hangers right at the dryer and walk straight to his closet and I'm done.
  2. Cartoons and Socks

The kids get to spend about an hour a night after dinner watching cartoons, if they want a little more time they have earn it by mating socks. I dump the basket right in the living room floor and they watch cartoons while they mate them, they rarely complain because they get to watch a few more episodes, and it saves me about thirty minutes a day.
  3. Enlist The Help Of The Little Ones At Dinner

My kids love to help me cook, I let them handle the safe stuff like mixing things, and putting the salad together, they also help set the table, and pour drinks for the whole family it saves me at least thirty minutes.
  4. Sign Up For Online Banking

I hate to balance the check book it takes up a lot of time, online banking helps out a lot it does all the math for you, and you can look at all your account balances. The best part is that most banks offer free bill pay. I pay almost all my bills through my banks web site it saves me hours of time.
  5. Prepare For Tomorrow Tonight

We have all had those mornings, when someone can't find their library book, you woke up to late to make your husband lunch, and the baby doesn't have a clean bottle. I make stacks and lay them on the couch at night before I go to bed, I even lay out my husbands clothes, because lets face it he needs the help. This saves me about an hour a day and a whole lot of headaches.
  6. Have a Catch Up Day For Cleaning

I reserve one day a month for catch up cleaning. I do all the things that normally don't get done with everyday cleaning. I wash the shower curtains and the bed spreads, I wipe down the walls. It saves a lot of time during the rest of the month, because I don't have to worry about it I know when the day is and I know that it will get done.
  7. Keep Well Organized Closets

Especially if you have hand me downs to worry about, an organized closet can save the day when you desperately need to find something.
  8. Combine Exercise With Play Time

When the kids are begging to go outside, let them. Go on a walk, play mother may I, get active! Then you wont have to worry about squeezing in that thirty minutes on the treadmill.
  9. Buy An Extra Table Cloth

Do you feel like spending an hour trying to get playdoh out of your carpet? Save a ton of time by spending $2.00 on a plastic table cloth spread it out on the floor, and let the kids go wild with the paint, it also helps at lunch time.
  10. Don't Be Afraid To Call Mom
