Of course every mother is thankful for any help friends or relatives can give to help out with children. One would think it would make your life easier and let you go shopping, clean the house, do laundry or just play with the kids.
Yeah, well, I have the super nanny from... In order for her to get my kids to eat lunch, she tells them they can have ice cream. So what do you think they are eating or demanding? You guessed it, screaming and crying for the ice cream. Do the kids listen to her - absolutely not! Nor do they listen to me at this point. This has been going on for a while.
So the other day she buys them pad locks to play with. Who in their right mind would give a 5- or 4-year-old a pad lock to play with? Oh yeah, I forgot to mention she told them they can lock the gates in the yard.
“Oh my goodness, “I said,” Your father will go nuts if you lock the gate!” And knowing my luck they would lose the keys, too.
“But mom, super nanny said we can do this you are so mean to us you don't let us do anything.” Well to make this story short, I lost my temper over the locks and told them to throw them out and what do you think happens? You got it, they dropped the lock on my foot, and now I have a swollen foot.
