Being a new mom is a wonderful, exciting, and stressful thing. You have new responsibilities like 3 hour feedings, changing diapers, and bathing. Now don't get me wrong, it is a joy to have a baby, but they do depend on you for everything.
I became a new mom November 20, 2006. Zoe was born 6 lbs. 7 oz. She is beautiful blue eyed baby girl. Now when I was pregnant I was up in the air about whether or not to breast feed. Everyone kept saying it is better for the baby and it is but in the end you have to make the decision yourself.
For me the decision was easy to make once I had her, I decided to bottle feed because that way if I needed someone to watch her I didn't need to pump first. Plus, I had the fear that she wouldn't take to my breast. As I said before, though, it is your decision in the end.
Now for most moms, it is a natural thing to wake up when the baby cries to eat. But if you are one of those moms who just can not wake up, I suggest setting your alarm for every 3 hours. Now when a newborn eats it is usually about 3 to 4 oz of formula every 3 hours, every baby is different.
Okay. That is all for now. Watch for my next article coming soon.
