Rolling Over
Baby Blair is four months old now and gave me an enormous surprise today when he rolled onto his tummy for the first time. These are the moments that make being a Mum so rewarding. It has been a grizzly month with the hot summer heat and Blair's frustration in learning how to grab his toys. Much to his satisfaction (and mine) he can now grab his toys and have a good chew on them.
Going out Without Baby
My partner and I managed to get out together for the first time since Blair's birth, which was just what we needed after the stresses and changes you go through with a new baby. I decided not to leave going out too long because with my first baby I didn't leave him with a babysitter until he was nine months, and he cried and cried and I felt incredibly guilty. This time it went smoothly except that he wouldn't drink the milk I had painstakingly expressed for three days!
I am looking forward to spending some more one-on-one time with Blair now that my six year old has happily settled back into school after the summer school holidays.
