This is a quick reference guide on how to keep your children busy in a productive manner.
The one thing to always remember is that kids want to have fun. So if you can make everything sound like fun to them, it will gain their attention all the time. You have to start all the time by saying, “Kids Are you ready”? “ What dad/ What mom?” will always be their reply. A sound of immediate interest. Tell them, “ To have fun”!
If you have a computer, teach them slowly how to type. It's not that hard. Have them position their fingers on the left hand a s d f , the right hand j k L semi colon. Start there and tell them that is your base of control when typing. They will one day surprise you when they remember!
Now have them type on a word program or any text program or notepad. Repeatedly asdf asdf asdf asdf. Then have them do jkl jkl jkl jkl; jkl; jkl; .
Find out what their favorite things are and get drawing books similar to advanced coloring books. Then get them a scratch pad to practice on. After a while the little artist in them will come out. So be sure to Wow them all the time.
Let's say you don't have a computer, take them to the public library and show them how to use one there. If you don't know how, just let them click and play type.
