Try these tested ways to burp your windy baby.
- Sit them up on your lap and gently pat their back and make circular movements, tilting them slightly forward.
- Lay them back on a cushion for a minute, when sat back up they should then burp as laying them down creates a path for the gas to escape.
- Lay baby across your forearm, so they are facing down and gently sway from side to side. The pressure eases the pain in their belly.
- Place baby over your shoulder and gently pat their back creating a natural passage upwards for the wind to escape.
- Sit baby over your knee so they are facing outward. Hold their arms out to allow the stomach and chest to be free (suitable for babies 3 months +).
