Coping with Dangers on the Internet

The Internet is now a place where many activities go on. It's just like a world of its own, where you find almost any thing that exist under the sun. In the Internet you will find the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. But the topic on ground is about trying as much as we can to help teens with a proper guide so as to gear the internet to being an advantage to them and adding value to their lives.

Unknowingly to teens, in other to satisfy their youthful urge, they exploit almost all part of the web. As there do this they stumble into dangerous sites that affect them negatively. These sites are made so attractive so as to keep the captured mind always glued to the site. It is known that things there pick up online is what they bring into the real world.

But the advice I would give to teens is that, there should always seek guidance from their parents on how much to use the internet to their own positive advantage.

Parents should also try to get involved with the activities of teens on the internet so as to ensure their online safety. Discussing with them and educating them about dangers online will help their minds. Let them know that, instead using porn sites and adult contents why not try social networking sites. This will provide a better platform for the teens to educate their parents about things that are in vogue, like cutting edge technology. Parents will now have to educate the teens about the relationship of the world and online.
