Comparing Private Schools and Public Schools

The issue of comparing public school to private school is like comparing two brothers alike. It is the same more than as much as you can think. It all depends on you. Taking a decision on which one to send your child to any of these schools is strictly by your own judgment after comparing each school standard and your own condition.

1. Unlike the public school which have large space and the ratio of students to teacher is high, private school has a low ratio of students to a teacher. Communication between teachers and student is better of in private schools than public schools. But, when it comes to resources for extracurricular activities, public school stands out, beating the private schools.
2. We will be wrong if we say, private school teachers earn more than public school teachers. Private school is a private business, thus money is also being put into consideration. But in public schools, education is part of government's budget and a major priority; therefore paying teachers is serious business. Just those private schools try as much as their can to employ well behaved teachers.
3. Questionnaires have shown that student in public schools find their educational environment very conducive for them to learn. But in the case of private schools, their students seem be to complaining a lot on the environment.
4. You also have to consider cost in terms of tuition of your child and the amount you budgeted for the child's education. It is more expensive in private school than public schools. Their tuition is known to be almost the same with that of college. But, by law, every child is entitled to free and fair education. So public schools try to live by this rule.

When it comes to educational representations, public school students seems to give out an outstanding performance because according to them, this was as a result of the high expectation required from their parent. But in the cases of private schools. The students would tell you that their parents have already spoken to their teachers.
6. You also have to consider the child's future. Private schools curriculum is geared towards a college degree but a public school creates an open system to meet up with any direction you choose after graduation.
