Today in the world raising children can be very difficult, with drug abuse, alcholism and gangs. Where would a parent begin? Parents need to be more aware of who their children are around and what they are doing.
Here is were that good communication comes into play if you bring up children who know you are always there for them and they know they can come to you about ANYTHING! Before they decide to try something, they will come to you first and not just experiment on their own.
This is another area we all need to work on. I'm sure many of you know of children who need that type of guidance that they are not receiving from home. I do try and reach out to those children as well we must remember even through they did not come from us these children are our future.
They did not ask to be here and I am sorry to say that some of us were not blessed with the best of parents that is why it is OUR duty to reach out and help our fellow children. If we don't who will?
Knowing that you have someone who cares about you goes a long way.
