Playing with toys or relaxing in bed seems to be more interesting to little children than brushing their teeth. Germs, bad breath, and shining teeth do not hold much importance in their world. If children are not pressured right in the morning, they will be more receptive to the idea of brushing their teeth. |
- Try to make brushing interesting.
- Introduce a new toothbrush with a cartoon or some animated figure.
- Let the toothbrush be in his favorite colour.
- Give him new flavours of toothpastes.
- Avoid very tangy flavours that cause irritation in his mouth.
- Put a looking glass in front of the child in which he can watch himself cleaning his teeth.
- Let the child brush himself.
- Show him how foam in the mouth can be made with the toothpaste.
- Demonstrate the brushing process yourself.
- Try brushing your teeth together.
- You can have a competion with your child, that who has more sparkling white teeth after brushing or who finishes more quickly.
- Convince the child into brushing by reading him storybooks on how germs can spoil teeth.
- Show the child Different TV Commercials on toothpaste , toothbrushes or on oral hygiene. It inspires children.
- Wake him up well in time.
- Do not forget to compliment him on his fresh breath and sparkling teeth after he is done.
