Every morning it seems we are rushed. I use these simple tips to make mine and my child's mornings stress-free.
Make sure you and your child get to bed early at night. A good night's sleep will lead to a better morning.
Take your shower or bath at night. This will leave more time in the morning and you won't be as rushed.
Set out clothes the night before for both you and your child.
The night before have all homework done and everything in backpack, ie. lunch money, etc. Put everything, including your purse, briefcase and keys near the front door so nothing gets forgotten the next morning.
Set an alarm. Make sure you give yourself enough time in the morning so you aren't rushed.
Take time to snuggle if you have a little one. I usually add an extra 5 minutes to my morning routine to fit in a little mommy and me time for my son.
Eat a well balanced breakfast. I make homemade pancakes and waffles on the weekend, when I have more time, then freeze them for during the week. They are quick and easy to heat in the microwave.
No television or computers in the morning.
Have a positive mood. This will help to not only start your day off right but your child's too.
Leave a few extra minutes open in your morning routine for those unexpected problems that may arise.
Following these simple tips will make a stress free morning for both you and your child.
I miss out on the morning stress issues since I leave earlier to work, but will make sure to hand these tips over to my husband. Thanks for sharing. He is definitely not a morning person and is always rushing our little one. :) Great advice.
