Think about a theme for your party this could range from anything from princesses to action man depending on whether you have a son or daughter.

The Venue
Think about where you would like the party and the date and time it could be at your house, in a hall, or if it is in the summer you could have a garden party.
The Guest List
Make sure you invite all the special people in your baby's life.
The Cake
The cake could be in keeping with the theme of the party or if you don't want to have a theme you could have a numerical no1 birthday cake.
The Food
You could have the food home made with finger snacks or order the food from your favourite restaurant. If you choose to order the food then made sure you contact the caterers in advance.
Decorations
To add to the special atmosphere of the party why not decorate the venue with balloons, banners and streamers.
Party Games
If there are other children invited why not include some party games such pass the parcel.
