I like to keep a small kit in the glove compartment for emergencies. Well, not just for emergencies, but more like for when you need things.
It never fails. My friends often ask me, "Do you have hand lotion?" And I never seem to have it. I guess I'm the only one who applies lotion before she drives. I don't know.
But a little car kit is great to have and inexpensive to put together. I simply went to Target and got one of those plastic sewing kit boxes with the compartments. Then I went the mini Travel goods section of the store and picked up: mini hand lotion, chapstick, band-aids (or plasters, for those of you who live across the pond), anti-bacterial wipes, anti-bacterial lotion, aspirin, dramamine (for motion-sickness), anti-diarrheal tablets, antacid tablets, tylenol tablets and, most impotantly, suncreen lotion. Yes, my friends. No matter how hot the day, it always wise to have suncscreen. My fairer skin friends tend to forget this the most.
Yes, actually all of that does fit in my little car kit, and it has come in handy on occasion. Always a good thing to have, even on a mini-road trip. : )
