Molding Shapes That Make You Say Whoa 1

Molding shapes is a suitable for everyone to fill up free time.

Molding shapes can be done easily using several substances which include play dough, homemade dough, plasticine or clay. Plasticine is soft, multi-colored clay like substance that is recommended here as it is available in almost all departmental stores or toyshops. Ensure that your plasticine is non-toxic and fragrance-free.

The combination of different colors can create a very attractive shape. For example, kneading dark blue with white plasticine will give you light blue colored plasticine. To mould a shape, use multi-colored plasticine instead of single colored plasticine.

The first basic of preparing plasticine for molding is to knead it into a smooth ball.

Alternatively, a rod shape can be formed by simply rolling the plasticine onto the hard surface. The applied force from your palm will determine the size of the rod.

You may also need a ruler to divide Plasticine into the required proportions.

Toothpicks or tiny sticks can be used to make a hole particularly in a very small or thin part of the molding shape.

Adding eyes is the final step in creating the figure. This is done by sticking a small white ball in position and then adding a smaller black ball in its center. This step is important so that your molding figure will look more attractive and alive.

Another option to create a more lifelike appearance is to make imprints in particular areas of the Plasticine by pressing with household items such as paintbrushes, rulers, toothpicks or pencils. This can be done to add nostrils, wrinkles, textures, or expressions to the mouth.
