Find out how you can make a brilliant flute out of bamboo! |
Costs- Bamboo = $2.80
- File = $1.50
- 3 Metal rods of differing sizes = $0.00
- Ruler = $0.00
- Saw = $0.00
- Permanent marker = $0.00
- Total = $4.30
Method- Cut bamboo with the saw into a 50.5cm piece
- Using the file I removed a segment that was located inside the bamboo
- Sanded the inside of the bamboo used in the file
- With the aid of a permanent marker, I marked the position where the mouth piece would be, that was 8.1cm from the tip of the flute.
- Utilizing the permanent marker I made a distinctive mark for the six finger holes on my flute. They were 2.7cm apart
- With an oven, I heated up the metal bars
- The metal bars were then placed on the holes
- Burn holes in the bamboo flute with heated bars
