Make Your Own $1 HD Speaker: Fact or Fiction?

Can you make $1 HD speakers? Also how to make free speakers.

You might have watched one of the many web videos people have posted on the net on various places like Youtube and Metacafe showing how to can make a pair of High Definition (HD) speakers for just $1. If so you probably were wondering if you really could make your own pair of $1 speakers and if you can then how? In fact you can make a $1 speaker or even for less you can even make one for free if you have the right stuff at your house and there probably do, you could make speakers right now.

If you never have seen the videos showing you how to make the HD speakers this is how they claim to make the $1 HD speaker. First get aluminum foil, tape, headphones, a penny, and Styrofoam plate. The next thing you are supposed to do is wrap the aluminum foil around the plate, then tape the penny in the center of the aluminum foil. Now you cut the headphones off and attach the headphone wires to the penny. Now plug the speaker into any device you have with a headphone jack like a computer or ipod.

Do you want to know if this will does work or not? First before trying it out you should hear this warning, under no circumstances should you do this. Once again DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS, YOU CAN GET HURT. If you do attempt this you are going to start a fire. If you are not sp sure and want to try it for yourself then take a sec to just think about it do you think just cut a couple of electric wires attached to some aluminum foil and a plate will give you HD quality speakers? I speak from experience as I tired this to make sure that it did not work and when I did try it I did so with caution as there is a good chance of starting a fire this way.

Now you are probably sad and want to stop reading. Well hold on. You can make a speaker from some simple items that you may already have at home. This is a trick that that people have been using for along time and now you can.

To make a simple speaker you need a plate, or even a Styrofoam cup will work well too, a magnet, some wire, headphones, and tape. The first step is to wrap the wire around the magnet and then tape the magnet wrapped in wire to the plate. This wrapping should have two ends and the plastic should be striped from them. Now cut the headphone wires. Connect the loose ends of the wires together. Next plug the headphones in to get your speaker to work. If you look at the speaker part of a large speaker or an amp you see speakers work by using electricity to run through magnets. At least this project should sound believable and is much safer. You may not get HD speakers, but for a free pair of speakers with some old items from around the your home you cant go wrong.
