Changing a light bulb should not be life threatening. In the following photos you will find an outside porch light, that has been rigged for a murder disguised an accident. These “accidents” happen everyday. This article should strike an imaginative match in the minds of naïve innocent people, that are unaware of how dangerous people can be.

When this owner left the residence, this light was on. The resident was aware; return would be late in the evening. Upon return, the resident noticed the light was off, causing extreme difficulty finding the keyhole in the door. The resident thought the light bulb simply wore out. Next the tenant located the flashlight, only to find this shocking discovery. The globe had been removed from the porch light assembly, something was used to break a small piece out of the bulb, then the bulb had been filled with water. With an open circuit of electricity leading to the light, upon contact, the resident would have been electrocuted.

The owner looked around the base of the light for the broken glass, but was unsuccessful. Looking further to the surrounding areas the next morning, the resident discovered the tiny piece of glass, approximately 5 to 7 feet away from the entire porch, as if it were swept, or pitched.

The resident suspected the tool used to perform this escapade, would have been a small awl, screwdriver, nail, or a tool relating in size.
To change the light bulb in a dangerous situation as the one explained above, and you are lucky enough to not touch it. Simply flip the main breaker in the dwelling and change it. The bad thing is you will have to reset all your clocks. The good news is you will live to warn someone else about it.
