How to Remove Oily Stains From Your Favorite Shirt

It’s pretty hard to remove stubborn oily stains from your clothes. Here’s what you can do. Believe me, I’ve tried and it works wonderfully.

It's pretty hard to remove stubborn oily stains from your clothes. When you accidentally spilled food onto your favorite shirt while eating, usually, your first reaction would be to quickly head to the washing basin and wash the stain with some soap or detergent. However, most of the time you won't be able to entirely remove the stain. What is the best thing to do?

Here's what you can do. Before washing your shirt, remove the food remnants and dab the area with a clean dry cloth. Then, try putting some talcum powder on the stain. Make sure that you cover the entire stained area with the powder. Then, put a few drops of water on the said area and rub it with your index finger until the powder becomes paste. After that, wash the stain area with soap or detergent. You will be able to remove the stain.

Why it works? The small particles of talcum powder work wonders because not only can it penetrate the cloth fiber, but also absorb the oil as well as remove the stain through the cloth successfully. Believe me, I've tried and it works wonderfully.
