How to Go Green!

A cool little guide on how to go from a carbon producing, resource consuming human to a whole new person that respects the environment.

So, i'm guessing you want to go green if you are reading this? Then you have come to the right place! In theis polluted world, old species are dying, our atmosphere is being torn apart, water supplies are becomming contaminated with radiation, and who's fault is it? OURS!

Now, after reading that, I hope you have realised how we are damaging our world. Please read on to find out how we can slow this down as much as possible.

Step 1 - Basic

Okay, now this is just the basic stuff, and i'm sure you know most of it allready, but let's just go through it.

  • Use both sides of a sheet of paper.
  • Switch off lights when you exit a room.
  • Shower instead of taking a bath (showers are cleaner and usualy use less water).
  • Turn you washing maching from 60C to 40C.

Now, that was pretty easy wasn't it? And that will not only help the environment, but you'll save money too!

Step 2 - Medium

Right, now for the medium section. Be warned; alot of people quit and run at this stage!

  • Change to more energy efficient bulbs.
  • Switch off as many electric appliances as possible (unless they are being used of course).
  • Recycle all your household waste (recycling bins can usualy be found neer your local supermarket).
  • Try to use the bus instead of your car (this saves alot of fuel).
  • Still haven't quit? You are obviousley determined!

Step 3 - Hard

Now this is the harder section, which alot of people find embarrising!

  • Try to walk or bike to your destinations rather than use the bus or car.
  • Get a compost bin to recycle all waste food (this will produce greenhouse gasses, but not to forget that our planet has a carbon cycle!)
  • Buy organic food instead of chemicaly force grown rubbish.
  • Try growing your own food! Believe me, it's fun!
  • Use as little electricity, gas and fuel as possible.
  • Wear clothes made from natural fibers, not man-made materials.

Thank-you for reading my article, be sure to tell your friends about it! Spread the word of green!
