Household items that double as secret agents for the cheapest people on Earth.
Whether you are the thriftiest person on earth or you just need to cut costs, these are some really fun and innovative ideas to save money, if you can actually take them seriously.
A rake with no handle can make a great rack for mugs
Old shower curtains can be used for tarps for painting
A shower cap can be used to cover food in the refrigerator
Use a 6 pack beer ring to hold belts on a hanger
Heat up the end of an ice pick to repair holes in a leaky hose
Use toothpaste to take the sting out of insect bites
Grocery item on the bottom shelves of supermarkets are usually cheaper
Shoulder pads from shirts make excellent pot holders
Use bay leaves and cucumbers to repel insects in your home
Use vinyl flooring remnants to line your pots and pans cupboard or to protect a floor in a heavy traffic area.
Paint bottle caps red and black and use them to replace missing checkers
Use last year's Christmas cards to make Christmas gift tags and paper chains to decorate your home
Make a cat or dog collar with a discarded belt or one bought at a thrift sale
Use lemons to clean counter tops
Boil garlic and cloves and spray it on the grass to get rid of mosquitoes
I do the garlic thing all the time. Especially being in Florida. It helps the mosquitos and it stops dogs from digging trenches in the yard.

Really nice and handy tips. I could try a few of these. I think reusing things is better than recycling!

I've done quite a few of these, especially using the shower curtain when I was going through my Jackson Pollack phase..lol. I'll have to try 15, we have a lot of nasty mosquitoes out here during monsoon seasons.

Their like little vampires. I figured I would come up my own little concoction. It was originally made to stop my husky from digging holes but, then I noticed it was cutting down the mosquitos. Who knew?

interesting ideas but youde have to be really tight for cash to use them not sure about the rake head as a cup holder id have thought it could have been better used in the garden to hang smaller garden tools on
