Want the sound of water in your backyard but don't have the space or time for a waterfall? Well I came across this great idea. Some of the things you will need are:
- A large plant pot with no holes in the bottom
- A little frog or something of the type that can shoot water
- A submersible pump. (10-15 gallons a minute)
- Enough large rocks to fill your pot
- Some tight knitted wire about the size of the top of your pot
- A shovel
Start by digging a hole about the size of your pot. And if you want the pipe from your pump to your frog (Or what ever you choose.) underground then dig a trench too. Now after you have that all dug you need one hole in the side your pot for the pipe to come out. (Whether it's under ground or not.) Now put the pump in the pot with the pipe sticking out the hole. Put the whole thing in the hole (the dirt one) but don't fill in the trench just yet. Now put the rocks in the pot on top of the pump. Now take the wire and bend it over the sides of the pot so it will stay there. For the looks pile rocks on top of the wire so you can't see it. Now for the wet part. Take the frog hook it up to the pipe, fill the pot with water and switch the pump on. Your frog should start squirting water. No position the frog to the point where the water comes down right in the pot. Now you can bury the pipe that you have probably tripped on a couple times. You now have a nice little buried pond and a squirting frog.
