Maker's Mark is traditional, sour-mash Kentucky straight bourbon whisky. It goes down so
smooth, it's like liquid velvet. It is the only hand-made bourbon in America, and is made in
batches of less than 19 barrels.
To begin the fermentation process, a little of the previous batch is
used, so the makers of Maker's Mark can ensure a more consistent quality. All Maker's Mark
bottles are sealed with red wax, making it a distinctive product on the liquor store shelves, and
keeping out all air. This ensures a pure, clean product for the consumer.
Maker's Mark is also fully- aged in its barrels for at least three moths before it is placed in the
glass bottles and sealed with its distinctive red wax. Made near Loretto, Kentucky, the distillery
is a National Historical Landmark, as well. Tours of the distillery are available any time you are
in the neighborhood of Loretto, Kentucky.
