Complete history of maize, a.k.a. corn. |
Origins- Maize first originated around 5600 years ago
- Native Americans first grew Maize, most likely in Central America and in the Mexico region
Today- Corn is used in hundreds of products today. A few of these uses for corn include: aspirin, food, adhesive, baby food, beer, candies, syrup, crayons, and cosmetics.

- Most countries in the world today produce corn. In fact, corn is grown on every continent except Antarctica. Some of the countries it's grown in are: the U.S., (which includes every single state), Canada, France, England, and China.
- Corn is a very healthy food because it gives you many vitamins and nutrients that are essential for a healthy person
History- The major labor sources for corn are the farmers who plant and harvest it when it is ready to be harvested. Another source of labor corn provides is all the services that go into transporting the corn, shipping the corn, processing the corn, and making it into other products. Really corn provides millions of jobs to people worldwide.
