When you are hungry for your favorite flavored noodles in a bag, the microwave is your best friend. It takes less time than on the stove top and creates less dishes to clean.
Needed:
- Microwave safe bowl
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 bag of Ramen noodles
- Spoon
- 1 tsp. of butter
- Microwave
Crunch up the noodles with the palm of your hands on the counter top, still inside the bag. This makes
the cook time shorter and gives you bite sized pieces to work with.
Pour the noodles into the bowl, and empty in 1/2 cup of water on top. Now add in the powdered flavoring
that comes inside the noodle package and stir with a spoon.
Place the bowl into the microwave for 4 minutes. This is sufficient time even if the microwave is a low powered oven. The noodles will soften and cook all over. At 2 minutes, take the bowl out and stir the noodles, then replace to finish out the other 2 minutes of cook time.
Remove the bowl from the microwave, and set on the counter for a moment to cool. After cooling, place in the 1/2 teaspoon of butter and stir in until it is melted. This cooking technique just dirties a bowl and a spoon and makes your entire snack in less than 4 minutes.
If you do not fancy butter in the Ramen noodles, it is acceptable to skip this step in the process, as it is only for taste. When the bowl comes out of the microwave, it may be hot. Be careful to avoid getting burned.
