Car consumers need to beware in the Virginia area . I have come across established and well known car dealerships who are selling cars $1,000.00 over their Kelley Blue Book retail value . At a time when our economy is taking a nosedive and with President Bush trying to save it with the stimulus checks , this is not a time to be getting ripped off .
Recently I went into an Acura dealer and was very interested in purchasing the Acura RSX they had in their inventory . It was a used vehicle with 35,000 miles on it ,but it was still a hot car and in perfect condition.
I took it for a test drive and it was ridiculously smooth driving , easy shifting ,and braking . I was in love and totally sold . The retail value of the Acura RSX I fell in love with at this particular dealership was $21,328.00.
Now here is the facts , and I encourage you to discover this on your own . An Acura RSX 2006 with 35,000 miles on it as per the Kelley Blue Book retail value of the car is about, $18,300.00.
Not to mention when you look at the mileage it is over by about 15,000 giving if this was a maintained lease vehicle and it's age .
So to the folks in Virginia who plan on heading out with their stimulus checks or even just for the Memorial Day weekend sales events ; know before you go ,check your Kelley Blue Book and CarFax. It is more than obvious that there are still reputable car dealerships in the Virginia area who are all about ripping you off.
