You may consider making oatmeal in the morning for breakfast in place of the costly cold type cereals. Don't even think of purchasing the expensive individual serving oatmeal packages either as they can be very costly.

When it comes to vegetables and fruit always consider purchasing those products which are currently in season and lower in price at the grocery store. If you live near a farmers market you may highly consider purchasing products there. Go together with a family member or a friend and purchase some items in bulk as you will discover that they are generally much cheaper per unit price.

Many people swear by food company coupons however you must bare in mind that these coupons are for top of the line products and as such they usually cost more then the lower grade type. In the end this may not be such as great deal.
