I was skeptical when the Iphone first came out. Who would buy such an expensive phone? What was so great about the thing? I certainly was not ready to wait several days outside of an Apple store to get my hands on one. After several months had passed since the long line of anxious Apple freaks, I too let my guard down and bought one. It has been the best phone I have ever owned.
The touch screen, oh so beautiful. I love that there are no clunky buttons anywhere on this device. With this factor implemented in the design of this phone, it is truly an elegant mobile device. The menu and all of the applications built into the phone are all useful, ranging from the calendar to the Youtube app. But my number one favorite feature in the Iphone is that it is hackable. I am sure that Apple didn't mean to let this happen. But somewhere in the midst of Apple Corp., they knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.
As of now the Iphone can be modded to allow third party applications. One of my favorites is Apollo. Apollo is an application that allows one to connect to their MSN Messenger account, as well as several other popular instant messaging services. Of course there are other apps out there, like Customize. Customize allow the user to add different themes to their phone. One of the more unique apps is Ilevel, which uses the Iphone as a level using its accelerometer. Of course if you are trying to build a house, you might want to use an actual level. Other built in features on the Iphone include the Email client, clock, stock quote and weather app, MP3 player, movie player, as well as several other useful applications.
I would really recommend those who enjoy new tech gadgets to spend the $400 on the Iphone. Of course you will have to shell out an extra $20 a month for AT&T's unlimited data package. But of course if the phone has been unlocked, you may use it on any wireless provider's network. You can find more information about jail breaking and unlocking the Iphone, but you didn't hear it from me.
